Christening of the WAC Blazer
Corporal Maxine Vaught christens the Army locomotive, the WAC Blazer, in November 1944. Pictured at the bottom left of the photograph is Lt. Col. Anna Wilson, WAC Director in the ETO. At center is, Maj. Gen. Frank Ross, Chief of Transportation in the ETO. The WAC Blazer was entrusted to uphold the efficiency record of the Transportation WACs in the European Theater.
