Adams, SGM. Betty Lee

Born December 3, 1932 in New York City, New York. Enlisted for 2 years at 19 years old on May 28, 1952.

Went to leadership school after basic training at Fort Lee. Served as a company clerk at Fort Lee for her first enlistment. After renlisting, continued serving as a cleark at various bases throughout the country including Fort Sill. After Fort Sill, went to be an Platoon Sgt at Fort McClellan. Stayed at McClellan for over 2 years. Served in DC for 3 years before going to recruiter school and serving as a recruiter in Albany, New York. 
Held every job in a WAC basic training company except for supply, plus recruiting and personnel expereince, and almost 13 years of service. 
Chosen to go to Vietnam in 1965. First enlisted woman sent to Vietnam. Helped with creating and advising a Vietnamese Women's Armed Forces Corps.
