Cast of George Gershwin's "Porgy and Bess" visit Fort Des Moines
When George Gershwin's "Porgy and Bess" arrived in Des Moines, Iowa, for a performance, members of the cast took time off to visit WAACs at Fort Des Moines. One of those they met was First Officer Charity Adams, commanding officer of a company at the First WAAC Training Center. Here she autographs a book for cast members William Bowers and William Woolfolk.
