First Negro WAC Unit Arrives at British Port
A short article about the arrival of the 6888th Central Postal Directory Battalion to Birmingham, England in 1945. The article mentions Brig. Gen. Benjamin O. Davis and Maj. Charity Adams. It was published in the WAC News, the newsletter for the Women's Army Corps published out of Fort Des Moines during WWII. It looks like the original articla was in the Service Woman.
