1st Officer Charity Adams passes out Christmas gifts
WAAC Charity Adams passes out Christmas gifts at her quarters. The back of the photograph is inscribed "To the 'Apple of My Eye', The best Captain in the Army. (Who said anything about WAAC Captain I said Captain by heck) From your 'ugliest' haff brother." A later inscription reads "Hi Avery, This was Christmas Eve and I was Santa Claus at our quarters. The brown bag in the foreground is what Daddy and Mamma gave me for Christmas."
