Marian Anderson performs for group of WAAC Third Officers

Marian Anderson, noted soprano of radio, concert, and opera fame, ran over a few notes of song for a group of Third Officers of the Women's Army Auxiliary Corps when she visited the First WAAC Training Center at Fort Des Moines, Ia. Her accompanist, Franz Rupp, is seated at the piano. The Third Officers are, left to right: Charity Adams, Jessie Ward, and Ruth Freeman.
