Marriage of Florence Collins and William Johnson
Capt. William T. Green, Galesburg, IL, reads the benediction services at the marriage ceremony of Pfc. Florence A. Collins, Philadelphia, PA, a WAC of the 6888th Central Postal Directory Battalion to Cpl. William A. Johnson, Asbury Park, NJ, of the 1696th Labor Supervision Company. This is the first marriage of Black servicemembers to be performed in the European Theater of Operations, Rouen, France.
